PillSignal is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your options.

What we collect

PillSignal uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymized usage data. This includes pages visited, time on page, device type, browser type, and approximate geographic location (city or region level, not street address). This data is used solely to understand how the site is being used and to improve the experience.

We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information. PillSignal has no account system — no login, no registration, no forms that capture personal data.

Interaction event tracking

In addition to standard page view data, we track anonymized interaction events to understand how PillSignal is used and to improve the experience. These events include search queries entered on the site, clicks on drug pages and related drug links, and interactions with FAQ and navigation elements. They are processed through Google Analytics and do not contain any personally identifiable information. No keystrokes, form inputs, or personal data are captured — only anonymized signals such as the fact that a search occurred or that a link was clicked.

Local storage

PillSignal stores two values in your browser's local storage:

• Your dark/light mode preference
• Whether you have dismissed the site disclaimer banner

These values never leave your device. They are not transmitted to us or any third party.

Cookies

PillSignal does not set first-party cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies as part of its standard operation. See Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles analytics data.

Google Analytics opt-out

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Third parties

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for marketing or any other commercial purpose. Google Analytics data is governed by Google's privacy policy.

California residents (CCPA)

PillSignal collects minimal anonymized usage data and does not sell personal information. If you have a privacy request — including a request to know what data has been collected or to request deletion — contact us at [email protected].

Future advertising

PillSignal may add display advertising in the future. If advertising is added, this privacy policy will be updated to reflect any changes to data collection or third-party sharing practices before those changes take effect.
